2026 John T Memorial Race Weekend
Date: 3rd to 5th July
The Valley, Anguilla
Criterium loop: 2.4 km
John T Route 1: 142.8 Km, Elevation gain 1,112m
John T Route 2: 100 km, Elevation gain 794m
John T Route 3: 60.5 Km, Elevation gain 485m
DESCRIPTION
The John T Memorial Race Weekend, organised by the Anguilla Cycling Association, features two
endurance-based races that honour Anguilla's cycling enthusiast, John T. The race is a source of national
pride and is one of the biggest sporting events on the island, representing an iconic cycling event.
Participants from our regional countries, from Guyana to the British Virgin Islands, Bermuda, Belize and even
to the USA, are all invited to join.
Over the past 25 years, the John T. Memorial Cycling Race has seen increased interest in participation,
competition, and intensity, and this year is expected to continue the trend. Efforts are being made to have
the event recognised as a UCI-sanctioned race and an exciting event.

ABOUT THE ANGUILLA CYCLING ASSOCIATION
The Anguilla Cycling Association (ACA) is a non-profit premier cycling organisation in Anguilla, dedicated to
fostering a vibrant cycling community and nurturing talent at all levels. Our mission is to promote cycling as a
sport, recreation, and wellness while also advocating for road safety and environmental sustainability.
The Association was formed in 1999 and is infamous for its regional cycling competition dubbed “The John T
Memorial Race”. The association is an advocate for youth development with the pairing of grassroots
programs with organised social and competitive events.

The Princess Alexander Hospital is located at Pope Hill, Anguilla.

Technical Meeting
The John T Memorial Race weekend’s technical meeting will be held on Friday, July 3rd, from 4 pm to 10 pm.
This will be the platform to discuss in detail and add clarity to any concerns about the weekend races. Team
managers, sport directors and athletes will be asked to confirm their registration documents and cycling kits
for the weekend races. Cyclists who have not presented themselves before the start of the race will not be
allowed to compete.
OPENING CEREMONY
The John T Memorial Race weekend commences on Friday, July 3rd, with an Opening Ceremony and Cocktail.
This will be an opportunity to network and socialise with official members and sponsors of the events. The
time and location of this ceremony will be given in subsequent correspondence.

USD 280.00 includes accommodation from July 2nd to 6th, meals, and race registration for both Criterium
and the John T Memorial Classic Road Race.
USD 250.00 includes accommodation from July 2nd to 6th, meals, and race registration for only the John T
Memorial Classic Road Race.
USD 220.00 includes accommodation and meals from July 2nd to 6th for executive members and support
staff.
USD 50.00 race registration for only the John T Memorial Criterium Race.
USD 50.00 race registration for only the John T Memorial Classic Road Race.
USD 90.00 includes race registration for both the Criterium and the John T Memorial Classic Road Race
USD 20.00 Youth race registration for the John T Memorial Criterium Race.

LICENSES & VALID IDENTIFICATION
A valid UCI international license or government-issued ID are required for this event. Holders of UCI
international licenses that do not bear a photograph will be required to present an approved and valid
government photo ID in addition to their UCI license.
COMMUNICATION
The approved medium of communication between support team vehicles, race officials, and neutral support
will be the ZELLO app. This two-way push-to-talk application that is available for both Android and Iphone
platform can be easily downloaded, installed and configured on your existing smartphone device. Persons
will be required to have a functioning data plan and will be asked to have the channels configured at the
technical meeting.
